Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) is to help supervisors and direct reports address and resolve performance issues.

Improve

To improve and sustain the desired performance results of each employee or staff member.

Identify

Provides identification of expected performance results that do not meet performance expectations.

Correct

Initiate action steps that a staff member might take to correct performance – including identification of training.

Plan

Provide a plan/timetable, outlining the dates by which improvement will be required. Set Goals that need to be achieved within the timeline
